About the 30 Day Challenge
We believe that it’s easy for most people to go vegan 80% of the time. There are so many delicious, naturally vegan foods out there that it’s pretty simple to eat a healthy, balanced vegan diet for most of your meals. BUT, most people also have a handful of foods that they love so much that it’s hard for them to transition to a 100% vegan lifestyle. Do you know what those foods are for you?
If you’re currently not vegan, we’d bet that meat or dairy plays a hugely overstated role in your diet right now. You likely order cheese on your sandwiches, salads, soups and burrito bowls out of pure habit. You’ve probably never tried the vegan option at most restaurants because, honestly, why would you? You probably have cream in your coffee and eggs for breakfast and think nothing of reaching for milk chocolate as a sweet treat after dinner. There is no judgement of this! It’s a perfectly normal way to eat here in our culture, but it causes so much harm to animals.
Of course, it’s perfectly acceptable to slowly phase most of these items out of your diet over time. There’s no wrong way to transition to veganism. Slowly phasing will just take longer. We advocate for a 30-day vegan challenge because it is like ripping off a band-aid. Through a challenge, you will try a TON of vegan substitutes and options all at once. You’ll quickly and easily learn what meat and dairy items you love the most and want to keep in your diet on occasion. You’ll also try lots of new vegan options you’ve never explored before, which helps you understand where you can easily make trade-offs in the name of compassion. It’s like a vegan jumpstart and it comes with a built-in community of supporters and chearleaders – US!
We’ve developed our 30-Day Vegan Challenge ebook to guide you through the process. This ebook has everything you need to do your first 30 days vegan. You’ll have meal plans ideas, supplement guidelines, restaurant ordering frameworks, and killer recipes. The vast majority of our recipes are naturally vegan, containing no weird ‘vegan’ ingredients like tempeh, tofu, nutritional yeast, etc. These ingredients all have a place and can be yummy if prepared properly, but they are pretty intimidating if you’re just starting out.
